Centrally located in the heart of downtown Asheville, this chic loft  is part of a collection of industrial spaces that cover an entire block of former turn of the century factory buildings. Located at the corner of the aptly named “Chicken Alley,” the street was a former farmers market stop with a butcher, stables and chickens roaming the alleyways. Situated within the bustling city center, the location is perfect for accessing the town on foot.

Deftly renovated to achieve maximum space, light and comfort, the interiors benefit from the spacious open plan design reimagined for modern living. A labor of love, the building was designed and renovated by the owner and  longtime Asheville resident whose background in property development combined with her world travels have influenced the way she creates her homes.

Eliminating much of the interior walls created a blank canvas for the chic urban theme with many remnants of it’s former industrial life still evident. Divided into two levels, the interiors are warm and inviting with a French industrial vibe and a collection of vintage treasures and furnishings. Airy and spacious, the lounging and dining areas give you room to stretch out and are adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen with dining bar. There’s a king bed on the main level, and three queen beds on the lower level all in open spaces that sleep up to eight guests.

Stylish, distinctive and unique, this loft is a great way to immerse yourself into Asheville’s thriving downtown scene.

AROUND

Loaded with character, this is the best section of downtown Asheville, filled with galleries and museums, restaurants, historic architecture and iconic landmarks with an ever expanding culinary and microbrewery scene, all within walking distance. The River Arts district is just a couple of miles from the loft and is home to a mile long stretch of studios and an array of creative arts. Stylish and a bit trendy, at it’s heart, Asheville is still a mountain town spawned from very traditional roots. It’s location next to the famous Blue Ridge mountains lends the city a gorgeous natural backdrop with vast areas to explore including nearby Pisgah National Forest and Chimney Rock State Park. And of course the crown jewel of the area is the stunning and vast 19th-century Biltmore estate built by George Vanderbilt. Considered the largest private home ever built in the US, it’s a Gilded Age gem of over 250 rooms on over 8000 acres with a magnificent collection of artwork by the worlds masters.
