Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer ‘OK Jaanu’ hit the theatres on January 13, and opened to a fair start and good reviews. The remake of Tamil film ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ it was appreciated for its light and breezy content and amazing music by the maestro AR Rahman. However, the movie showed little growth on its second day, around 15%.
The growth might have been hit because of the release of Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’. ‘OK Jaanu’ collected approximately Rs 4 crore on Saturday, taking the total collection of two days up to Rs 7.50 crore.
Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’, on the other hand, seems to be little affected by the new release, and continued its impressive run on the box office.
On its third Friday, ‘Dangal’ recorded a collection of Rs 1.90 crore, and on Saturday, it earned an impressive amount of RS 4 crore, taking the total domestic collection of the film up to Rs 353.54 crore.

Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ will be hitting the theatres on January 25. Let’s see if those two manage to halt the stint of ‘Dangal’ and the collections of ‘OK Jaanu’.
