First, let me clear one thing right away.

ConvertKit is an amazing email marketing tool and I love it to death…

I know that’s kind of a bold statement to say but I’m sticking to it.

I mean, just look at these stats:

They’ve grown from $5020 to $1,270,583 in monthly recurring revenue (MRR) in just 36 months.

How often do you see a growth chart like that?

Very less.

So, what makes ConvertKit so successful?

Nathan Barry built ConvertKit, with a description that eventually became “the power of Infusionsoft, but easier to use than MailChimp.”

And it gained popularity after getting the backing of marketers like Pat Flynn, Joanna Wiebe, Harsh Agrawal, and some other big players started promoting it.

But here’s the thing…

Not all Email Marketing Software is created equal.

Sure, ConvertKit user-friendly interface makes it different from other players, and no doubt their features are top-notch.

But…

They are NOT the only option available in the market.

There are various other email marketing platforms that aim at serving small, medium, and large-sized businesses.

In this post, I’m going to mention some of the top alternatives to ConvertKit, both free and paid.

So without further ado, let’s get started…

1. Drip

Drip tops this list as the platform that has almost all of ConvertKit’s features but it’s a bit costlier than ConvertKit.

Drip enables you to customize your emails with pre-designed templates, Visual Email builder and tags. This allows you to create more dynamic and appealing content.

Some of its advanced options that I personally love are Lead Scoring, Subscribers management, auto-response, and event-triggered emails. (which are way powerful than ConvertKit)

When it comes to pricing, ConvertKit base plan starts at $29/month for up to 1000 subscribers.

On the other hand, Drip base plans start at $49/month for up to 2500 subscribers.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, Drip is more expensive than Convertkit but the features they offer justify their pricing.

If you have some time to spare, here’s a useful comparison between ConvertKit and Drip in detail.

The Bottom Line:

If you are considering ConvertKit but want a more robust marketing automation features, then Drip is your option.

2. MailChimp
