We’re already counting the days until the PBR rodeo in October (yes, we have a thing about PBR!)

Can we get a yeehaw?

But in the meantime, we’d like to give you a roundup of the latest and greatest TSheets features, hot off the press in the past few months.

New Scheduling Features

Time is money, and we’re committed to providing you the best tools to see exactly how your time (aka money) is being spent! The new features we’ve added make it even easier to predict how your employees will be spending their time, see who’s working in real time, look back to see how your predictions matched up with reality when everything’s said and done!

Forecasted Hours: Now, when your schedule manager sits down to create a schedule for your employees, she can see at a glance how many hours each employee is scheduled to work that week. It’s like a quick peek into the future, and allows you to easily budget and view hour totals by employee or by job code. Meaning, you’ll know instantly if your landscaper Karen is spending a lot of time this week planting flower beds as opposed to garden cleanup. This allows you to plan for expenses before the time is logged.

See Who’s Working–From the Schedule! Fast forward to midweek. Open the schedule, and you’ll be able to see who’s on the clock in real time–noting that Karen is right where she’s supposed to be at your biggest client’s residence! An orange dot shows you that Jim and Jaime are taking a break right on schedule, while a green dot shows you that everyone else is actively logging hours in real time. This new feature allows you to see who’s on the clock and who’s scheduled, all from one view! When you see that Nick hasn’t clocked into his scheduled bid with a new client, you can arrange coverage, fast!

Scheduled Hours vs. Hours Worked: Fast forward one more time to the end of the week. With one click, you can run a report to see hours worked compared to hours scheduled. How closely did Karen and Nick follow the schedule you created for them? Do you need to make any changes or address any problems for next week? Now you know!

Get Specific on the Schedule! We’ve just made it even easier to communicate with your employees and eliminate guesswork and errors when employees clock into a job or shift. Now, by using Custom Fields, you can specify unlimited details in addition to a job code (e.g., project, equipment, etc.). Now, when Andrew looks at his schedule for the week, he’ll not only see that on Monday he’s scheduled for a landscaping job at the Porter Residence–but that he’s scheduled to work in the front yard and needs to bring his pruning shears with him! When he clocks in, he’ll be clocking into all the custom fields you specified when created the schedule!

And those aren’t the only new scheduling features we’ve been hard at work creating, based on your feedback! (And don’t think for a second that we’re finished. Our goal is to be the #1-rated time tracking and scheduling software on the planet!)

Here’s the other great features we’ve added to scheduling over the past few months:

Employees can now clock in right from the schedule on their mobile devices!

We’ve added the ability to schedule repeating shifts with new weekly and daily patterns

Now you can create all-day shifts without start or end times

New Ways to Clock in!

They said it couldn’t be done–clocking in with TSheets was already so gosh darn simple. But we’re happy to report that now clocking in with TSheets is even easier–because there’s even more ways to do it! The new advanced time card simplifies clocking in, prevents accidental clock-ins, and lets you switch jobs in a snap.

Clock in by selecting a job code and hitting the big green “Clock in” button at the bottom of the timecard. Hover over a job code and click the green “clock in” button that appears. Or simply double click a job code. Voila! You’re clocked in.

New Integrations

As an open ecosystem, we’re all about partnering with the software you use and love! Which is why we’ve created the following new integrations!

Xero Payroll and Invoicing: Beautiful time tracking now integrates with Xero’s beautiful accounting and invoicing. Track time in TSheets, then export to Xero to run super fast, super accurate payroll. You can also create detailed, customized invoices from the time you tracked against your clients.

The Who’s Working web feature just got better. Now admins can see multiple employees, in multiple locations, in real time, all at once!

New Mobile Features

We know our customers are busy–meaning we love to release new mobile features like these!

Edit Timesheets on the Go: We’re happy to announce that it’s now possible to edit employee timesheets from mobile. Need to fix an employee’s timesheet on the fly without access to a computer? Now you can!

Who’s Working Mobile Updates: Now you can see a map view showing an individual employee’s location and GPS paths in the Who’s Working view on mobile. Just tap the employee’s name in TSheets to open up a path map for the current timesheet. Of course you’ll also see the employee’s hours worked, job codes, GPS location and start time–with one glance!

New Kiosk Functionality

Do your employees share one tablet or computer to clock in or out? If so, you can now change default company wide settings to “Auto logout after clock in/clout out” with just one click! In other words, when Bobby clocks in for his shift, he’ll be automatically logged out of the communal iPad so that Sally can clock in a few minutes later. Individual employees can still change their own settings if you have a few employees who don’t use the communal clock-in/out device, but now you can turn this setting on for the whole company in one step!

New Custom Fields Features

Great news for our customers with a lot of custom fields: your custom fields are now searchable!

Finding custom fields is now faster and easier than ever. Just start typing, and a filtered list based on your input will appear in the dropdown menu! No more wading through long lists of job codes–just type in a few characters and choose from the matching entries. (The ability to scroll through your codes will still be available, we’re just giving you more options!)

New Employee Breaks Features

You asked, we listened! Based on your feedback, it’s now possible to create employee breaks with no predetermined end time (so the break will last as long as the employee chooses). On the flip side, you can also now create breaks with a minimum duration (so you can ensure employees are taking their full breaks!)  You’ll also notice that automatic breaks will now be applied when you create or update timesheets in the Timesheet Editor (if they meet the Breaks criteria you’ve specified!)
