February 17 marked the one-year anniversary of the debut of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood. In celebration of the milestone anniversary, the theme park is leveling up its entertainment once again with an all-new Nintendo World-themed Cafe, a special Power Up Band and a limited-edition 1-year anniversary button.
The fun kicked off February 15 with the grand opening of the Power Up Cafe on New York Street, located in the Upper Lot. The grab-and-go cafe invites guests to power up before entering the Super Nintendo World with eats themed after all things Super Mario.
Snacks and beverages include:
Super Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom-shaped calzone filled with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce.
1-Up Mushroom Calzone: Mushroom-shaped calzone filled with spinach, green pepper, mushroom, mozzarella cheese and basil pesto
Fire Flower Pretzel: Fire Flower-shaped pretzel served with chipotle cheese, mustard and white queso dipping sauces.
Super Star Popcorn: Butter popcorn decorated with edible glitter.
Super Mushroom Fizz: Lemon-lime soda with strawberry popping pearls and a strawberry Super Mushroom Power-Up.
1-Up Mushroom Fizz: Lemon-lime soda with green apple popping pearls and a lime 1-Up Mushroom Power-Up.
Fire Flower Fizz: Lemon-lime soda with orange popping pearls and a mango habanero Fire Flower Power Up.
Super Star Fizz: Lemon-lime soda with lemon popping pearls and a mango pineapple Super Star Power Up.
In addition to the cafe, guests can also purchase new Golden Power-Up Bands. The bands can be synced to the Universal Studios app and be used to collect and store digital coins and keys, allowing for unique interactions with characters and more while in the land.
It’s worth noting that purchasing a power band isn’t a requirement to enjoy the fun of the area. Guests without one can still interact with plenty of characters and rides.
For a limited time, guests can also get a complimentary 1-Year Anniversary Button. This special commemorative collector piece will be available February 17 and while supplies last at Guest Relations located inside the theme park.
Don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood.
