2015 was an awesome year for Fortumo’s merchants. We signed 20 new carriers for direct carrier billing (DCB) and our payment platform can now be used to charge users in 92 countries across the world. We are very happy to have enabled top digital merchants like Google, Microsoft, Sony on one side and top carriers such as Smart, Telenor, Viettel and dtac on the other side, increasing revenues and end-user satisfaction for all parties.

Last years have also shown that carrier margins in their core business are under increased pressure, to large extent due to strong competition from OTTs. Fortumo has helped carriers find new growth opportunities in new segments: including payments for app stores and streaming services, while moving also towards financial services and non-digital goods.

Fortumo’s technical platform works for all merchants and mobile operators don’t need to worry about technical infrastructure upgrades, taxation, merchant on-boarding or support. We also work closely with carriers in helping them grow revenue after launch through the Fortumo post-launch program with extensive data analysis and workshops.

We have an exciting list of merchants lined up for launch in 2016 from the segments mentioned above. If you are a mobile operator looking to increase your revenue from payments, let’s meet up at Mobile World Congress and discuss the opportunities.

You can meet us in App Planet, booth 8.1J35. If you want to schedule a meeting, please let us know at mwc@fortumo.com. See you in Barcelona!
