Comparison between Virtual Cloud and PaaS Platforms
eApps offers two great platforms for hosting your sites and web applications. Each one supports Java and PHP as well as the leading CMS tools. But which one is best? Well, that depends on your intended use. What we have learned from working with thousands of customers over the years is that there is no single platform that can be all things to all people. For that reason we offer two of the very best platforms, knowing that most of our customer’s needs can be met.
In a nutshell . . .
Our Virtual Cloud Server platform provides a traditional VPS in a Cloud infrastucture. With our Create-A-Cloud® tool, customers can create a custom Virtual Cloud Server with very large resource allowances. A full range of add-ons and managed services are also provided. An array of Linux and Windows templates are available.
Our Platform as a Service (PaaS) is designed to save Java, PHP, Python, Ruby and Node.js developers time through integration with developer tools and a high degree of deployment and configuration automation. PaaS also has an excellent scheme for automatic scaling (vertical and horizontal), and only bills for scaled resources when actually used.

New SSL Optimization Service
The default settings related to SSL for Linux/Apache are configured to support a broad range of usage. Unfortunately, this approach is not ideal for optimizing the security of an SSL certificate, and results in an average security rating for your SSL. Unless you need to support old browsers and protocols, we recommend that you optimize your security settings when you install an SSL certificates.
We provide an add-on service for SSL certificates called Security Optimization for Apache Web Server Service. For a one time fee of $15 we will optimize your SSL configuration for your Apache web server to maximize your independent rating.
