Broome is located in the north of Western Australia, it’s one of the largest cities in the Top End and is right on the coast. Here, in Broome on Cable Beach, you can witness one of the most unique experiences known as The Staircase to the Moon. If you time your honeymoon just right, you can incorporate this romantic experience of a lifetime into your trip. The Staircase to the Moon is quite a magical optical illusion that happens during certain times of the year when the full moon aligns just right over the ocean and the reflection makes it look like there is staircase leading right up to the moon. In spring 2017 you can see the Staircase to the Moon September 7,8, and 9th and October 6, 7, and 8th. You can research when it happens, the calendar is set up years in advance. The first two nights of the full moon event are usually accompanied by the famous markets right on the beach where you can shop for all types of things from produce and food to gifts and souvenirs. Of course, that’s not all to do in Broome on Cable Beach. You can enjoy another unique experience: camel rides on the beach. A trip to Cable Beach in Broome for your honeymoon would definitely be an experience like no other. In addition to that, you are close to many different National Parks and some of the most beautiful, yet remote places in the world that you can add to your trip including the Warlu Way Road Trip and The Kimberley region, that we will actually be featuring later in our series.
