Bollywood is a complex web of people who are all related to each other. Even the upcoming generation of actors belong to some or the other Bollywood family. The Khans, Kapoors, Chopras, A

khtars, Deols, Dutts, Bhatts,

Bachchans, Mukherjees and Rosh

ans are only a few of them. Even among the Kapoors, there are several families, such as the progeny of Prithviraj Kapoor, Surinder Kapoor, and Jeetendra (Ravi) Kapoor.

In such a closely connected industry, most actors, directors and producers end up working with their relatives. Here are a few examples in Bollywood, where celebs have made movies with their family members.

The Bachchans in Sarkar

Amitabh and his son Abhishek have starred together several times, starting with Bunty Aur Babli. Before that, Amitabh was a narrator in the Abhishek Bachchan-starrer Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost. The duo’s last movie together was Bol Bachchan, in which Senior Bachchan appeared in the title song.

Sanjay and Sunil Dutt in Munnabhai MBBS

Sunil Dutt’s last film before his death had his son, Sanjay, in the lead. In fact, the father-son duo played father and son in the film too. Munnabhai MBBS not only gave them the chance to work together, but also gave us one of Sanjay Dutt’s best performances so far.

The Deol family in Yamla Pagla Deewana

While the Deol brothers have acted in several movies together, they were seen with their father on-screen for the first time in the Bollywood sports drama, Apne. The trio were seen again in the Yamla Pagla Deewana series, followed by Singh Saab the Great.

Brothers Boney and Anil Kapoor in Mr. India

The Kapoor family has worked closely on various occasions. Anil Kapoor’s most popular movie till date, Mr. India, was produced by Boney. Even brothers Sanjay and Boney have worked together, one of their last productions being Tevar, which starred Boney’s son, Arjun Kapoor.

Cousins Rani and Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Not everyone knows that Rani Mukerji and Kajol are cousins. The duo have starred as rivals in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, followed by Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, along with Shah Rukh Khan in both the movies. The two even make a special appearance in the SRK-starrer Kal Ho Naa Ho.

Emraan Hashmi and the Bhatts in every Emraan Hashmi movie ever

Emraan Hashmi’s career began with the Bhatt brothers. Most of the films of his career have been produced by his uncles Mahesh and Mukesh. Some of the popular ones are Murder, the Raaz series, Kalyug, and Jannat.

The Khan Brothers in Dabangg

Salman Khan and brother Arbaaz have been working together since the 90s on movies like Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and Hello Brother. Sohail and Salman have also collaborated on various occasions, but the three brothers came together for the first time in Hello, which was directed by their brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri.

The other Kapoor siblings in The Dirty Picture

It is fair to say that Ekta Kapoor tried to save brother Tusshar’s career by offering him roles in her movies. Unfortunately, Ekta’s movies did not fare half as well as her TV shows. Her only successful movie with her brother would be the Vidya Balan-starrer, The Dirty Picture.
