Bakersfield College’s annual Career Day event will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in the Bakersfield College Campus Center from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The purpose of Career Day is to give Bakersfield College students the opportunity to explore a wide variety of careers and current job opportunities.
Denise Crawford of the Bakersfield College Job Placement Center says job seekers will not only meet a variety of perspective employers at the BC Career Day, they will also be able to explore possible careers for the future.
“Did you know that 95 out of 100 jobs are obtained through networking?” Crawford said. “The Bakersfield College Career Day is a great opportunity for Bakersfield College students and alumni to network with employers.”
Attendees should come prepared with copies of their resume. Employers from the areas of human services, business, retail, corrections, healthcare, computer technology, food service, and more will be attending. For more information, call the Bakersfield College Job Placement office at 395-4659.
