Customer review of Pumpkin AA0472B- 10 inches head unit with a rotating touch screen
The device has been around for some time now. Before I had a Pumpkin 7 "radio with Android 8, which is also good. Unfortunately, the installation slot in my car is very deep, so that the 7" device and normal viewing angle somewhat covered the upper area of the screen. So I just waited for the 10 "device to be offered with the latest Android. Now it is there. Technically I am very satisfied, although the quality of the sound is not quite as good as with the 7". My car has a passive subwoofer installed, which is now much less sensitive. But it's still okay.
The screen reflects a bit too much. Here I helped with an anti-reflective film. The device is bright enough for this. The monitor can be pushed up a good 5cm, which is why it can be perfectly positioned in my car. The fear of hiding other controls is unfounded.
It takes getting used to the "Home" button on the left edge, which is arranged as the penultimate. In my opinion, it would make more sense to be at the top or at the bottom.
I used a launcher (CarWebGuru) to brush up the somewhat old-fashioned user interface.
I know you shouldn't give a star deduction for the support. But here it is more than appropriate. At "SuperAuto", where I bought the other devices (3 in total), I received excellent support. At that time they even supplied me with additional items free of charge. Now I bought through AutoPlayers. WHAT A FALL! An adapter was missing and I just wanted to know which one to buy. Instead of an answer, I received a satisfaction form several times. Nothing came when we asked again! I then tried Pumpkin support, which provided the correct answer within 15 minutes.
The device is really fun. It works fast enough, now boots super fast, sounds good, does not reflect (anymore) too strongly and fits my needs perfectly.
