ASTM A915, Grade SC1040 - Supplemental Requirements:
- Sample casting = S1, S2, S6, S7, S10, S12, S50 apply
- Production castings = S7, S10, S12, S50 apply.
Weight = 24.5 lbs. finished. The dimensions shown on drawing R-3562, Rev X2 are finished sizes.
Note that the bore and tread must be machined. As Buyer requires that quotes are for supplying finished (machined) parts, it is up to the foundry and machine shop to determine the most efficient and economical level of machining allowance to be added to the machined surfaces. ACTUAL/CURRENT unit weight for this part is 24.5 lbs. each (finished weight). Unit pricing should be for the final product, and no additional costs (for gross weight, etc.) will be accepted; these costs should be calculated into your unit price.
New tooling will be required and should be quoted separately.
A sample will be required for inspection prior to approval of full production. Sample will be shipped to Buyer's location for inspection via. air freight at Buyer's expense. Please see drawing for all specifications.
