Event Description:

If you're like us, you most likely don't have an endless supply of cash to make your artistic dreams come true.  You have to stretch your resources as far as they can go.  One way to do so is to hit up the hardware store.  Come hang with Evan Anderson (lighting), Garrett Johnson (responsive media) and Britta Joy Peterson (dance) and we'll explore ways to creatively utilize the resources that Corporate America is willing to let you return.

GROUP DESCRIPTION

Evan, Garrett and Britta comprise an interdisciplinary team drawing on creative practice in performance, installation, and design. Spread across the United States, the artists engage in their individual practices and disciplines, collaborating both in cyberspace and in co-location. The team is currently in process with Sentient, a project problematizing mind and consciousness that takes the form of workshops, installations and performances. With artist Coel Rodriguez, the team performs Tired hearts kick darkness and bleed light, an audience absorbing interrogation of intimacy. The team’s inaugural work, Visible Sketch, builds evocative imagery and evolutionary states around the poetic phenomenon of visibility, and was most recently seen at The John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Check out current goings-on at http://sentientsystems.us/
