Traveling between Southern Hemisphere Destinations
If you study the map to the left, you will notice that the routes that airliners take in order to travel from one destination in the Southern Hemisphere to another destination within the Southern Hemisphere, make absolutely no sense on a spherical earth. Why would airliners go out of the way to double and often triple their distance flown, by choosing a route that takes them into the Northern Hemisphere, land, and take off again toward the Southern Hemisphere. In this day and age of competitive pricing, this type of route makes no sense whatsoever…..UNLESS….you look at the AE Map.

If you’re age 40 years or older, you’d probably remember January 28, 1986.
That was day of the Challenger disaster, when the NASA Space Shuttle orbiter Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight over the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida at 11:38 EST. All seven crew members were killed, including five NASA astronauts and two payload specialists.
Millions of Americans (17% of the total population) watched the launch live on TV because of Payload Specialist Christa McAuliffe, the first teacher in space. Media coverage of the explosion was extensive: one study reported that 85% of Americans surveyed had heard the news within an hour of the accident.
We were told that Challenger disintegrated because of a malfunctioning O-ring seal in its right solid rocket booster. The O-ring failure caused a breach in the SRB joint it sealed, allowing pressurized burning gas from within the solid rocket motor to reach the outside and impinge upon the adjacent SRB aft field joint attachment hardware and external fuel tank, leading to the structural failure of the external tank. Aerodynamic forces broke up the orbiter.
The crew compartment and many other vehicle fragments were eventually recovered from the ocean floor after a lengthy search and recovery operation. The exact timing of the death of the crew is unknown; several crew members are known to have survived the initial breakup of the spacecraft. But the shuttle had no escape system, and the impact of the crew compartment with the ocean surface was too violent to be survivable.
The disaster resulted in a 32-month hiatus in NASA’s shuttle program and the formation of the Rogers Commission, a special commission appointed by then President Ronald Reagan to investigate the accident. The commission found NASA’s organizational culture and decision-making processes had been key contributing factors to the accident.
But wait!
What if someone were to tell you that most, if not all, of Challenger’s 7 crew members are still alive and thriving in their new professions, contrary to what we’ve been told?
That is the contention of simonshack and other contributors on the chat forum, CluesForum.info. They claim 6 of the 7 Challenger crew members are still alive; some even kept their names. See how the sun’s light at sunset shrinks and trails after it – not at all what we would expect to see if the sun is 93,000,000 miles away.
The sun doesn’t “fade away into the distance (vanishing point), because of what I call Celestial Perspective. If you were standing next to a train the train is as big as it’s ever going to get. As the train goes away it can only get smaller and smaller eventually shrinking to a dot and vanishing into your horizon. The reason for that is, it occupies the same plane as you.
Celestial Perspective is different. Let me explain. When the sun is “NEXT” to you it’s vertically “next” to you, BUT ON A MUCH HIGHER PLANE THAN YOU – in other words it’s high, directly over your head. So due to its distance away VERTICALLY, its already experienced a VISUAL REDUCTION IN SIZE compared to what it would be if it was really next to you.
Then, as it goes away from you IT VISUALLY LOWERS as it follows the convergence lines down to your horizon essentially keeping its distance the same. The going away and the lowering OFFSET one another so there’s no change in size.
Kinda like if you’re flying a kite and it’s a mile up. It will appear a certain size. Now imagine it takes a dive to the ground, BUT ITS STRING STAYS TAUGHT. It hits the ground STILL A MILE FROM YOU, but instead of being a mile away vertically it’s a mile away horizontally. IT WOULD STILL APPEAR THE SAME SIZE EVEN THOUGH IT IS NOW A MILE DOWN THE ROAD FROM YOU.
That’s the difference between regular perspective that we’re all familiar with and what I call Celestial Perspective, something we’ve never been taught.
If the sun is 93 million miles away and a million miles in diameter (give or take – my guess is as good as theirs), the sun rays should be completely parallel to one another – where we see them coming through the clouds, right?… But we don’t… they splay out or diverge. Perspective will converge parallel lines that are PARALLEL TO THE OBSERVER’S EYE PLANE, that’s true.
