When a couple asks for our ideas and opinions on shoot locations, we always like to include a suggestion to have their engagement session at home!
Deciding to have your engagement session at home is such a sweet, personal nod to your relationship, and we love getting this intimate look into your lives together (especially during this special time after you’ve gotten engaged, but before you make it official at your wedding). It’s a lovely way to commemorate the first home you shared together, or document the milestone of buying your first house — whatever your living situation, the idea of taking engagement photos where you spend most of your time is one of our favorites.
Adena and Brian took us up on this idea for their mid-winter engagement session with Malaya; we started down the street at one of their favorite local spots in Culver City, S & W Country Diner, then moved to their apartment for couch snuggles and pillow fights.
We can’t wait to help them celebrate their wedding day in October at Calamigos Ranch!
