Guys, I don’t know about you, but I’ve got a Christmas vacation itch the size of Texas. There’s nothing worse than having to go to work and generally function as a human being when all you want to do is snuggle up on the couch and watch Christmas movies while snow falls ever so softly out your window. [Sounds picturesque, right? I described that scene to a tee. Don’t you feel like you’re actually on your couch? Man, I’m good.]

But if we must put on pants and go to work and engage with the general population, at least we can get this gem:

triple espresso

I laughed pretty hard when I got to my desk and finally looked at the cup. I honestly have no idea what this name is supposed to be. When asked my name by the relatively new barista at the register, I said Jenny. I’m pretty sure she repeated back to me ‘Debbie.’ But the guy who actually wrote the cup definitely knows my name, so I didn’t correct her. [Wow, that’s quite the cup trail, isn’t it…?]

Maybe this is a cool new nickname and I should just get on board. While I would’ve preferred something like ‘Snazzy Scarf Girl’ or ‘Looks as Smart as She is Pretty,’ I guess I will just have to embrace the new me. [I don’t have an additional side comment here, but I already did it twice, and I really feel like it would be poor writing for me to not do it three times. I’m just a professional like that.]

Sincerely yours,

Goibl

{New stand-alone side/closing comment: I may need to be taken down a few pegs. I sounded a little hoity toity in those other side comments, didn’t I? Oh ok, I just got spell check lines under the words “hoity toity,” so I think that will suffice on the peg front.}
