Another successful auction is in the books for Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona, and we are proud to have been a sponsor at this amazing event. Barrett-Jackson is the world’s greatest collector car auction, and every year it gives us the opportunity to bring our team at ADESA together with our customers to celebrate our shared love of cars. Many of our guests put up their hands to bid on several of the collector cars on display. The auction set 40 world auction sales records, with sales totaling nearly $102.4 million and raising nearly $2.2 million for charity. Some memorable vehicles that crossed the auction block this year came from music greats John Lennon and Steven Tyler: a 1956 Austin Princess and a 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder. The 1956 Austin Princess was formerly owned by rock ’n’ roll legend John Lennon and was featured in the 1972 documentary film Imagine.
