Georges Plassat, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Carrefour Group, took part in the official inauguration ceremony of FAN Mallorca Shopping, the latest project of Carrefour Property Spain, which opened its doors to the public on 22 September.
The ceremony was attended by more than 800 representatives of the Balearic Islands’ political and civil society, including personalities like Francina Armengol, President of the Balearic Islands; José Hila, Mayor of Palma; Ms María Consuelo Huertas, Balearic Islands Parliament President and Yves Saint-Geours, French ambassador to Spain.
Also present at the premiere: Pascal Clouzard, Executive Director of Carrefour Spain; Francis Mauger, Carrefour Property CEO and Carrefour Group Development and Real-Estate Director ; Jacques Ehrmann, Carrefour Group Assets, Development & New Ventures Executive Director and Carmila CEO; as well as Justo Martín, Carrefour Property Spain Director.

The biggest commercial and leisure offer in the Balearic Islands Designed by Broadway Malyan, FAN Mallorca Shopping covers around 66,000 sq.m GLA including 113 stores set on 2 floors and 2,500 parking spaces. It expects 10M annual footfall.
Total investment of the project amounts to 190 M€ (tenant investment included) and generated 2,400 jobs during the works phase, 1,500 direct jobs and another 2,000 indirect ones.

Since its opening FAN Mallorca Shopping has already become the reference leisure, shopping and food&beverage complex of the Balearic Islands, boasting brands of global significance, such as the 1st Primark of the island; H&M ; Mango ; C&A ; Cortefiel ; Kiabi ; Women’secret ; technology specialists Media Markt and Samsung.
FAN also offers the largest range of fashion, shoes and sports equipment leading brands with Decathlon, Foot Locker, Adidas, AW LAB, JD Sports and Décimas, Vans, Polinesia ,and beauty and personal care, with Kiko, Rituals, Yves Rocher, Jean-Louis David and Centros Único.
