Lecturer in Gender, Race, and Identity University of Nevada, Reno The
Gender, Race, and Identity (GRI) Program at the University of Nevada,
Reno invites applications for a lecturer position to begin Fall 2017.
The GRI program offers a major in Women’s Studies; minors in Women’s
Studies, Ethnic Studies, Religious Studies, and Holocaust, Genocide,
and Peace Studies; and a graduate certificate in Gender, Race and
Identity Studies. This is a non-tenure-track continuing and renewable
position (A contract 12-month appointment). The position includes
teaching (two courses per semester), student advising, curricular
development, programming, and community engagement. The successful
candidate should be prepared to teach introductory and advanced
undergraduate courses in Women’s Studies, including new courses in
area of expertise, and have an established track record of campus
programming or community engagement. Area of study and discipline are
open, but the successful candidate will have a background in feminist
approaches and teaching interests that focus on the intersections of
gender, race, class, ethnicity, and/or sexuality. We are especially
interested in candidates who are also prepared to teach in and
contribute to Ethnic Studies. The lecturer will join GRI at a time of
exciting growth of the interdisciplinary and intersectional scope of
the program, its curriculum, and areas of study. Applicants must have
completed the Ph.D. and be eligible to work in the United States prior
to the start of appointment on July 1, 2017. Applications must be
