The Department of Engineering Systems and Management at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology invites applications for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels. The search is open to candidates with the following expertise:
•Management of technology and innovation; Applicants with prior experience in starting or helping to grow young technology-related enterprises are of special interest. Joint appointments are possible with the Institute’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship iInnovation.
•Data analytics/statistics; An established teaching and research background in business analytics and other relevant topics is required.
•Operation Research and Supply Chain Management; Applicants with well-established teaching and research experiences at the graduate level are highly encouraged to apply.
•Systems engineering and systems architecture; Applicants with specialties in health-delivery systems and smart grids are encouraged to apply.
Applicants for these positions should have the desire to excel, both in teaching and research, in an interdisciplinary work environment. Applicants should have: (a) Doctorate in Engineering, Management or the Physical or Life Sciences, (b) the ability to teach at the graduate level, (c) the ability to supervise graduate students, (d) a willingness to develop an active program of research with funding from academic and industrial entities, and (e) a proven ability to conduct scholarly research and teaching.
The Department of Engineering Systems and Management at Masdar Institute is currently offering two MSc degree programs (MSc in Engineering Systems and Management ESM, MSc in Sustainable Critical Infrastructure SCI), in addition, the Department participates in the Engineering PhD program at the institute. Successful candidates will be affiliated with the Institute Center of Smart and Sustainable Systems iSmart.
