Position Description: Benedictine University Department of Nutrition
invites applications for two annually renewable 12-month appointments
as half-time (non-benefit eligible) Professional Clinical Faculty
Instructors, starting September 2017.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate supervision and evaluation of interns and
preceptor at distant sites.
• Participate in curricular development and ongoing program review.
• Communication and coordination with Dietetic Internship Director,
program faculty, preceptors, and interns.
• Teach select graduate courses that support the dietetic internship
program.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Earned master degree in Nutrition.
• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by CDR.
• Five years professional experience post credentialing as RD/RDN.
• Experience as a Preceptor of Dietetics students.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards by ACEND.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize technology and online delivery
methods.
Preferred qualifications:
• Professional experience in medical settings.
• Managerial and/or leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability of effective teaching.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact successfully and work harmoniously with
colleagues and students in a diverse community
