The Role:
As an IS Senior Analyst, you will become an integral part of the dynamic Change Consultancy Team within Information Security. You will be responsible for pro-actively leading and protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability our Clients customers, employees and corporate information from a wide range of threats.
You will provide consultancy and support to ensure the security controls implemented within the Businesses Change Initiatives are effective, appropriate. You will also be responsible for:
Analysing situations, articulating security issues and associated risks, making recommendations, influencing outcomes, decision making and ensuring successful delivery with customers and stakeholders
Leading information security representative across multiple projects providing security input to the development of solutions, including security standards and security requirements
Providing mentoring and support to Security Analysts across projects
Assessing security control gaps in technical design documentation and provide input into the development of solutions and provide information security consultancy across multiple technical disciplines
Producing security risk assessments, translating technical content into Business-friendly language
Providing Information Security guidance and support to both technical teams and non-technical Business customers
Driving Information Security requirements throughout project lifecycle ensuring that security requirements are defined, assessed, tested and implemented
Developing and maintaining awareness of new security technologies, legislation, standards, new security risks and vulnerabilities
Stakeholder management, providing security advice and guidance to customers, business and technology by ensuring that security standards are understood and complied with
Managing your own workload, ensuring work is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality
Demonstrating strong subject matter expertise advising on appropriate Information Security technical controls across a number of technical disciplines
Coordination the completion of appropriate security testing with our Security Testing Partners and assess the results with a view to providing recommendations
Performing 3rd party security due diligence to ensure controls are appropriate and in line with Group Information Security Standards, as well as Legal, Regulatory and Scheme security requirements
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Industry related security qualification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISMP) or equivalent practical security experience
Proven expertise and experience in providing security consultancy across multiple technical disciplines
A strong technical understanding of emerging threats aimed at financial institutions and different channels associated with this such as digital advancements
Proven track record of strong leadership skills, demonstrating mentoring and supporting less experienced IS professionals
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to influence and drive change in a collaborative way
Sound knowledge and application of IT Security principles, including regulatory, legislative and industry practices gained through practical experience and / or professional qualifications
Proven track record in analysing situations, articulating security issues and associated risks, making recommendations, influencing outcomes, decision making and ensuring successful delivery
Desirable Experience:
Experience in leading a team within an Information Security function
Practical experience of risk management principles and methodology
