9-20 is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer to join a leading ecommerce retailer based in Glasgow. This is a fast expanding company who are trailblazing the ecommerce market.
ROLE:
Working closely with the CEO, we are looking for an experienced, talented and passionate CMO to be part of developing the worlds best online interior design store.
You will be an ecommerce and digital marketing expert, working on creating and delivering industry leading, cross channel, digital marketing strategies including performance, display, e-mail, viral campaigns, affiliate, search and social media marketingand many others.
You will have the knowledge and experience to ensure that marketing and advertising plans across all channels support sales objectives and capitalise on opportunities. You will know how to manage the website PL to meet sales targets and deliver excellent ROI.
You will provide insight; manage customer lifetime value, churn, attrition rates and engagement to drive sales and customer satisfaction, amending the strategy where appropriate and develop a digital marketing plan that balances acquisition and retention, increasing visitors and conversions whilst maximising the value of existing clients.
ACTIVITIES:
Manage and Motivate the Digital Team to ensure growth, profitability and ROI
Be obsessed by our customers - listen to their changing needs, understand how they research and buy our products and be ahead of their evolving buying habits
Leverage data and analytics to drive insights and deliver considered, targeted, personalised and segmented campaigns
Work closely with Creative, Production, Tech and Customer service to develop, deliver and communicate our proposition to our Customer
Increase revenue generation and facilitate growth in the business
Innovate and keep on top of trends in the ever changing digital marketing arena, planning new and innovative campaigns to respond to these developments
Deliver objectives, KPIs, targets, forecasts budgets for the search marketing, the online communications marketing, branding initiatives and PR activity
Set objectives for acquisition and retention of customers based on measured customer awareness / appreciation / action / advocacy
Increase customer database, visitor numbers and conversion rates
Regularly monitor and report on competitor activity
Take full responsibility for driving marketing functions and reporting to the Board
SKILLS COMPETENCIES:
Degree Educated, preferably in Business and or marketing
Min 7 years extensive Digital Marketing experience
An ecommerce and digital marketing expert with a proven track record of success in retail
Entrepreneurial and highly motivated to succeed
Strong commercial background
Passionate visionary who knows great brands and how to build them
Strong organisational and project management skills
Fluent in Microsoft Office programmes specifically Excel
