We are looking for a self-motivated, driven, exceptional nurse to be a part of our growing team.
You will perform professional nursing to assigned patients within the OR in a safe and therapeutic manner, and be responsible for the education of patients and coworkers. Our Operating Room Nurses provide individualized care to patients before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities entail assessments, planning, pre- and post-operative education to patients, as well as physical and emotional support to families. In addition, this individual will partner with doctors and other clinical professionals to ensure rooms are prepared for patient procedures. This includes assisting the entire surgical team with prepping instruments, supplies, and passing appropriate tools to surgeons, per directives. Our chosen individual will take and monitor patient vitals, along with preparing and administering prescribed medications, (in accordance to policy). This individual pays close attention to any patient reactions to medications or treatments and initiates corrective action when equipment data shows adverse symptomatology. As an OR RN, you'll respond to life-saving situations, relying on nursing standards and protocol, ensuring appropriate measures are taken.

Minimum Requirements:
-Upon hire, this role requires 2 full weeks (80 hours) of hospital orientation
(orientation is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., typically held the first 2 weeks of the month)
-Current IL RN licensure
-1-2 years of Operating Room experience in Scrub and Circulating
-Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
-Flexibility to meet staffing requirements - wknd shift(s), 1 winter and 1 summer holiday
Preferred Requirements:
-ACLS, NIHSS, CCRN, CVICU certifications
-Cardiovascular/Open Heart experience
-1-2 years of Acute Care experience
