Sarkodie is arguably the most popular “African” artiste in Nigeria. With the proximity of Ghana to our dear nation, the song which built a straight bridge between both music industries was You Go Kill Me, a song which was an early guest at the table of the Azonto trend.
Over the years, Sarkodiehas proved to be one of the best rappers on the continent and with Nigeria's dominance worldwide, it is only natural that Obidi will seek to establish musical relationships with Nigerian artistes.
Having mad respect for 2baba, he is also a good friend to Ice Prince and in more times than one, he has hailed MI Abaga on a song. More than any other African, he has collaborated with our acts and you'll truly have a hard time explaining to a child that the fast rapping rapper isn't Nigerian but from Tema, Ghana and the language isn't some minority Nigerian language.

5. PON DI TING (ft Banky W)
Released some days before the Christmas day of 2013, the Masterkraftproduced song was a major crossover hit which cemented Sarkodie's popularity in Nigeria.
Boasting two verses from the superstar and a rap verse from Banky, the song topped charts, had Mr Capable hold his verse down against one of the best in the continent as a rapper.
4. DANCE FLOOR Remix (2BABA ft Sarkodie)
The then anthem for a good time by 2baba was a bouncy and infectious tune which spread across Africa with the speed of light.
On the remix, the African Music godfather featured Sarkodie who delivered a fiery verse, rapping in English and dipping in Twi to build a fun feel around the song.
3. NO KISSING BABY (Patoranking ft Sarkodie)
Off his Girlie O success, Patoranking born Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie couldn't proceed with his career without tribute to God.
Seeming to be a deeply religious person, much of his videos feature an image of praise and his album was titled God Over Everything. But unlike the gospel sounding jams and the dancehall bangers that he's known to make, No Kissing Baby is an Afro Fusion song, fun as the creator and featuring an even more fun verse from Obidi.
2. ANOINTING (Mr. Eazi ft Sarkodie)
“The first time I ever recorded a song, I went straight from the banku joint to the studio, so I was sleepy. Some people say I sing like I don’t really care. Like, ‘Yo, bro, are you really singing?’ That’s banku.” So does Mr. Eazi say in his interview with Vogue for a fashion issue.
Before Property, Mr Eazi leaned onto his Banku style until forced to adapt to the favored fast sounding beats.
Anointing was a major highlight of Mr Eazi's Banku days. Featuring a dope verse from Sarkodie, it was well received in both Ghana and Nigeria and served as a good run up to the Lagos to Accra project.
1. ABOKI Remix (Ice Prince ft Sarkodie, Khuli Chana, MI, Mercy Johnson and Wizkid)
Mercy Johnson might have sent people running to the remix of arguably Ice Prince's biggest song but it was the first voice on that posse cut that kept them coming back.
On a song that boasted multi national talent, GH's finest held his own, flexing lyrical muscle and name dropping and being the perfect introduction to one of the overwhelming songs at the time.
