Rising Media, producer of the Inside 3D Printing, RoboUniverse, and Virtual Reality Summit trade shows, is committed to keeping things fresh and interesting. While it’s unlikely that 3D printing, robotics or virtual reality are going to get stale or boring anytime soon, Rising Media likes to change things up a little bit every now and then to introduce conference-goers and would-be conference-goers to new and different facets of what the company has dubbed the “frontier tech” industry.

The next conference brings Inside 3D Printing and partner Innorobo together with IFA Global Markets, a massive conference and B2B marketplace aimed at the consumer electronics industry. From September 4-7, IFA Global Markets will be taking place in Berlin, with close to 250,000 people expected to be in attendance. Within that large format will be two special exhibitions entitled 3DPrinting@home and Robot@home – think of them as concentrated versions of I3DP and RoboUniverse aimed only at B2B2C and retail channels, rather than the usual sprawling consumer product expos.

3DPrinting@home and Robot@home will be located within the Station, an area dedicated to tech and covering roughly 20,000 square meters. The exhibition floor will be open for the full four days, with confirmed exhibitors including Formlabs, JER Education Technology Co. Ltd., SemVox, and Trinckle.

Robot@home will also be offering several conference sessions from September 5-6. The program is going to cram a lot into its two days, with a focus on current innovation trends within home and retail robotics. Session topics include:

Market Data and Major Trends From IoT to Robot@home Vacuum Cleaner, Lawnmower: What’s Next? Robotic Assistance in Elderly Care: Learnings from the SmartAssist Project The New Home Interface The Future of Retail – Feedback on Pepper Deployment in Retail Stores Service Robotics in Europe: Current Status, Perspectives in the Frame of the H2020 European Program State of the Art and Perspective for Robot@home Personal & Professional Use Startup Pitches & Demos Foresight Session with Robotics as General Purpose Technology Passes for the exhibition floor alone are free and can be reserved here for Robot@home, or here for 3DPrinting@home. Two-day conference passes for Innorobo can be purchased for €595 until September 4, at which point the price goes up to €695. A one-day conference pass is €355 until September 4, and then €415. All conference passes include admission to the exhibition floor as well. 3DPrinting@home and Robot@home will also be appearing as part of CEATEC, which will be taking place in Tokyo from October 4-7. The next full Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo will be taking place in Shanghai from November 30-December 2.
