Newbie here. Was member of numerous 12R forums for years as I had the 02 12r. I say had, a cage
pulled a u turn on the gap right in front of me and destroyed my baby of 13 years. She had 93000 miles on her and ran like the day I bough it. Got healed up and made the jump to the 14r just recently and all I can say is WOW. Bought a preowned 2012 with 8k miles (blue) with the Brock's 4-2-1 street exhaust anodized blue, flashed ecu, and BMC filter. Not a drag racer but a twisted and sport touring guy. Even though I knew there were plenty of bikes over the past 13 years had surpassed the 12 in performance, the 12 held its own and to me, there just wasn't anything that made me want to jump up and trade. By far the best bike I've ever owned. I'm not sure what this new 14 is pushing hp wise but seat of the pants dyno says 30-40 hp more and gobs more torque. Basically feels like a gears difference, maybe a little more. Handles quite well for a big bike if you are big enough to throw it into a corner and hold it there. Looking forward to learning about this beast as I knew my 12 down to the last bolt. I a m maintainence fanatic who rides fast but doesn't abuse my shit. I ride with a group of 5-7 that has been together for 20 Plus Years and love to travel as long as there is mountain roads involved. We attend numerous bike racing events such as Moto GP , wsbk, and AMA. I live in East Tennessee where there is some of the best roads on the planet within an hours ride. Looking forward to meeting some fellow 14 riders.
