**Job Summary**
This is a work from home opportunity and can be filled anywhere in US except California\.
Our Review Nurses have the medical knowledge and past clinical experience to provide consultative services\. Our Nurses have in\-depth knowledge and the ability to utilize resources to research medical issues and treatment plans on all cases\.
As Legal Nurse Consultant\- Nurse Reviewer you will be responsible for –
• Working with liability claims and staff legal files\.
• Evaluating medical treatment to ensure quality, effective and cost\-effective care\.
• Supply Technical resource to claims\.
• Review medical records to analyze treatments verses standards of care/ medical necessity\.
• Confirm acceptable standards of medical care by utilizing clinical expertise, professional judgment, supported by established criteria documented in accepted peer reviewed research\.
• Provide recommendations for action to the claims adjuster or attorney\.
**Job Qualifications**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Associate degree or equivalent
+ 5 or more years of related clinical experience in complexcases \(medical, surgical, orthopedic, or neurosurgery\)
+ Licensed RN
+ Certification in Legal Nurse Consulting or JD
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelors Degree in Nursing
+ Proven customer service experience\.
+ Knowledge of research criteria for establishing standards of care\.
+ Ability to effectively present information in written reports to customers\.
+ Computer literacy; proficient in Word and Excel\.
+ Experience in a work environment that required collaboration across work groups\.
+ Experience in a work environment that required professional and personal effectiveness in multi\-tasking, adapting to a changing environment, working independently, and coordinating/prioritizing/organizing efficiently\.
+ Experience in a work environment that required professional and personal effectiveness in establishing relationships with clients, customers, peers, and management\.
