10 great stoner horror films to celebrate today, 420. And we all know what that means.

Cabin In The Woods (Netflix)

Usually the stoner is one of the first characters in a film to be killed off, not in Cabin in the Woods. In fact Marty, played by Fran Kranz, is actually the hero in the film. He survives mind altering fog, zombies, killer creatures from our nightmares, a company attempting to sacrifice him and a werewolf, all while high as a kite.

The Evil Dead Franchise

Bruce Campbell’s most well known films are the right combination of comedy and horror to keep any stoner happy. Here’s the entire first film.

Idle Hands

Devon Sawa plays Anton, a stoner whose hand is possessed. After cutting it off Anton and his two undead friends have to hunt down the hand before it kills again. Anton saves the day and the girl with help of weed.

This Is The End

Seth Rogan, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel, Craig Robinson, Emma Watson and a ton of other high profile actors fight to survive when the apocalypse begins. This movie is filled with drugs, alcohol, comedy, action and death.

Return Of The Living Dead

Punk, a party and zombies collide in this horror classic. Do you really need an excuse to watch this? Here’s an interesting little tid-bit, the phone number for the military on the side of the drum containing Tarman is the phone number to a phone sex hotline. I got curious about the number and called it one night after watching Return of the Living Dead. It cost me $3.99 for that minute, but it was worth it. I fell off my couch laughing. I may or may not have been celebrating 420 at the time.

Dead Snow 2 (Netflix)

Nazi zombies, over the top special effects, and a ton of gore, it’s a perfect horror-comedy to watched stoned.

The Scary Movie Franchise

Any movies in the Scary Movie franchise are great movie to watch high. They’re funny, cheesy, and entertainment all while poking-fun at our favorite horror films. Shorty is one of the most pot loving characters to ever appear in a horror-comedy.

Lost Boys

There’ so much to love about Lost Boys. Let’s be honest, grandpa liked to get high. The characters knew it and we know it. Sam (Corey Haim) even mentions to his brother Michael (Jason Patrick) in one scene.

Tucker And Dale VS Evil (Netflix)

There’s no drugs in this movie, but it’s awesome and it’s hilarious! Two friends headed to their new cabin encounter a group of collage students and chaos ensues. The higher the body counts goes, the funnier it gets.

The Evil Bong Franchise

A bong that’s both alive and evil? What could go wrong? The Evil Bong films aren’t high quality, but you might enjoy them.
