Afropop music for years now has become one of the most popular music genres in Ghana. Most artistes who are currently making waves in the Ghanaian music industry have many hit Afropop songs.
Fast rising Ghanaian musician, Ramz Nic has stated that he is the best Afropop artiste in Ghana. The artiste whose single, “Pus3s3″ which features Captain Planet is making waves in Ghana in an interview with Abrantepa on Radio Univers in Accra said he is second to none.
According to him, most of the songs by some artistes are not Afropop but they tag them as such because of how popular the name has become. Ramz Nic who acknowledged the efforts of few Ghanaian musicians churning out Afropop songs said he is the best among all of them.
Narrating how he met Captain Planet for their collaboration, Ranz Nic revealed that he came face to face with the leader of 4×4 music group in the studio and made his intention for their collaboration on the track “Pus3s3″ known to him. He added that Captain Planet after listening to the track agreed to team with him on it because “it was not one of the usual noise making songs”.
After working with Captain Planet, Ramz Nic has also recorded with Yaa Pono on his latest track, “Miss Koikoi” which was produced by Kin Dii. Ramz Nic talking about his plans for the year 2015 disclosed that he is yet to collaborate with more Ghanaian artistes.
