MDC was built on a change agenda but our April 2011 Congress ended with no change, real change in fact, retained much of the MDC-T deadwood. They were using divide and rule in the MDC-T; promoting friends and relatives, so-called “kitchen cabinet” to replace professional advisors and hard-working party loyalists. Elias Mudzuri made us win 2008 election. He delivered victory for Dr Morgan Tsvangirai in 2008 and 100 parliamentary seats. What happened to him? What else could we expect? Elections leading to 2011 MDC Congress in Bulawayo, were marred by a lot of irregularities and violence. Why?
What is this nonsense about MDC-T in a nation so full of symbols and names that capture any hope? Some MDC followers became blind to the extent of overrating Tsvangirai. Now everyone is saying the economy is doing well. Who saved Biti from demotion or dismissal & which faction wanted Biti to be kicked out of GNU in 2010? I am disappointed but not with rigging (nothing new there) but rather the lack of foresight on the MDC part.
The mistake made by our Leaders were sleeping in Government. Forgetting that theirs was a movement and all movements are people- driven. How many Senior MDC –T & N had endorsed Mugabe on National events by singing Mugabe praises? Was it because of new found life of luxury?”
Why Why Why reading a ZANU manufesto at an MDC rally? What image were they trying to portray to MDC supporters? VOTE YES in referendum was the last kick of MDC’s in the History of Zim. By the way thumps up to 179,000 who Voted NO.
Finally people realised that serial bed hopper is not their savior infact they were wasting a lot of resources trying to protect their wives and daughters from open zip policy!
MDC-T were misled by Baba Jukwa. Not to protest Zimbaweans only if the protest against Tsvangirai and MDC’s breath-taking incompetence of the last five years YES.
Leadership should apologise to their supporters for sleeping on the job. This is the time to show leadership and it helps rebuild the party.
AN ELEMENT OF A LACK OF WISDOM DESTROYED MDC . MDC MUST CLEAN THAT HOUSE. A LEADER WITH VISION FOR A BETTER CHANCE AT 2018.
