When I saw this picture on the timeline of ace photojournalist, Sani Maikatanga, I called him to get some details.
Sitting feebly in a bowl was 19-year-old Rahma Haruna, a resident of a Kano village, Lahdin Makole. Rahma has no functional limbs. What passes as limbs are some miniature features in the arm and leg positions.
Her brother always takes her on his head in a plastic container and go round the city of Kano in search of alms.
It seems no education or future plan for both the carried and the carrier.

Luckily she was spotted by a Good Samaritan who managed to put a smile on her face after he was touched by her story.
Ibrahim M. Jirgi, a former BBC correspondence and philanthropist, donated a wheelchair to a 19-year-old physically challenged girl, Rahma Haruna, from Lahadin Makole in Warawa LGA, Kano, initially being carried in plastic container from the outskirt of Kano in to the metropolis to beg for alms
Salam due to post of this girl picture in my Instagram, Facebook, Twitter many people comments and suggestions and others shared the pictures on the wall and their page. Since yesterday I received a call from a lady crying and also want to donated something to this little girl on her condition and also someone too call me or chat with me first in my Facebook account and then ask me to send him my number and he is going to help toward the education of the boy that taking care of the girl. He is going to send money on Monday for that and I already send him my account. Other people also advice me to announce to all people that likes and comments about the picture. No amount is small let us join hand and help this girl and her brother. And I even had that their is NGO that wiling to take the responsibility and make sure the donation reach them. and I will open an account with the girl name if people willing to help but I will see for now what to do.
