Job Title Security Operations Manager
Business Unit Automotive Staff - Information Systems
Job Description
* Coordinate, manage, and deliver services metrics reporting to organization
* Manage analysis and reporting of operational security and performance metrics, driving program improvements
* Understand business priorities and focused efforts towards aligning services to business requirements
* Lead the operation of TRW’s IS security infrastructure, services, and programs including Security Event Management program, Vulnerability Management program, intrusion detection and prevention, PKI, malware protection, patch management, web application defenses and data leakage prevention
* The position will be responsible for the Managed Security Services program
* Provide in-depth technical direction and support to managed security service providers; proactively identify, track, and mitigate risk to IT systems and operations
* Manage response to global security incidents including coordination and leadership during security incident and malware outbreaks
* Proactively identify and analyze complex internal and external threats, including viruses, Trojan horses, targeted attacks and unauthorized access
* Recommend and implement threat countermeasures, controls, and associated services
* Recommend and implement improvements to security services
* Work closely with peers to support management of the department budget
* Support the security program strategy and stay current with evolving technologies such as cloud, mobile, virtualization, access control, and their security implications
* Support the information security strategy in meeting the business objectives.
* Ensure the development, communication and maintenance of standards, procedures and other documentation (e.g., guidelines, baselines, codes of conduct) that support information security policies.
* Develop and implement a program for information security training and education.
* Establish internal and external reporting and communication channels that support information security.
* Ensure that treat and vulnerability evaluations are performed on an ongoing basis.
* Report significant changes in information risk to appropriate levels of management for acceptance on both a periodic and an event-driven basis.
* Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the information security program
* Provide information security advice and guidance (risk analysis, control selection) in the organization.
* Monitor, measure, test and report on the effectiveness and efficiency of information security controls and compliance with information security policies.
* Ensure that noncompliance issues and other variances are resolved in a timely manner.
Education Requirements • Minimum of 7-10 years of full-time experience in information security management and /or related functions (such as IT audit / IT Risk Management)
• BA/BS in Computer Science or technology related program Industry standard certifications such as GCIH or GCED.
Experience and Skill Requirements • Has significant hands-on team leadership and management experience
• Must possess good customer relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a large-scale global IT enterprise environment
• Oracle, SQL, UNIX, Linux, Windows security and access control experience
• Is innovative, skilled in decision making, demonstrates teamwork and flexibility, is focused on continuous learning, and productivity improvements.
• Appropriate behavior when handling sensitive and confidential situations
• Ability to resolve conflicts between security and business objectives.
• Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously
• Advance familiarity with information security technology, demonstrating commitment to staying current with the technology and threat landscape as it constantly evolves.
• Possession of a knowledge of regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Network, and/or application security experience
