Job Title Senior Product Engineer - Electronics

Job Description The RF Electronics Engineering group currently supports ZF TRW Automotive on all aspects with respect to the RF Electronics Product Line. One of the primary goals of this group is to build up and maintain engineering competency & support our customer as an extension to their team. Engineering competency is absolutely essential in order to successfully support the ZF TRW organization on all technical and engineering issues for RF Electronics PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES / DUTIES:The Senior Product Engineer - Design Release / Resident Engineers (DRE) will provide onsite customer support and a direct interface between the customer and RF Engineering by providing engineering assistance in all aspects of Design Release & Support. This would include acting as an extension to the customer DRE as need, included but not limited to: writing change control documentation, working with Customer Design & Engineering team to package, validate, test, & troubleshoot TRW Designs. In addition, the DRE will assist the customer & TRW program team during new product development cycles, support prototype & pilot builds, interface regularly with the customer to resolve engineering, quality, and warranty concerns or issues related to product/development. Finally, the DRE would coordinate technical/design development direction and continuously communicate design critiques from the customer & participate in the resolution of this feedback..

REQUIRED Basic Qualifications(must have skills)

* Minimum 5 years related work experience in Electronics. Ideal candidate must possess strong customer focused communication skills supporting engineering groups & customer assembly plant team.
* Prior Chrysler experience preferred.
* Experience managing changes within the Chrysler Change system is preferred, but translatable experience in other OEM change control systems acceptable.
* RF Electronics knowledge is a plus.
* Plant issue resolution and launch support experience is preferred.
* RF Electronics Design Experience Preferred, but translatable digital & analog electronics acceptable
* Several years’ experience in automotive industry, wiring
* Design Release Experience preferred
* Experience being resident at a customer releasing Wiring Harnesses
* Component Selection Experience Based on Customer Engineering Requirements & Specifications
* Engineering Change Control Processes and Evaluation of Change Options and cost management
* Strong organization and communication skills and Ability to Document Project & Product Design Elements
* Experience with OEM Engineering Systems Preferred
* Ability to analyze and interpret Oscilloscope data and other Electronic Lab Data Essential
* Understanding of Basic Analog, Digital, and Micro-electronics required
* High Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
* Familiarity with multiple customer specifications and requirements
* Strong proficiency in Print Marking, Reading, and Checking 2D Schematics & Part Drawings
* Ability to read and understand specs, schematics, CAD data
* Ability to work independently in a cross functional team environment.
* Ability to work within tight deadlines and in high pressure environment
* Continuous contact with appropriate customer departments
* Familiarity with DFMEA’s, DVP&R’s, and Design & Process Validation Testing of Automotive Electronic Components
* Good communication skills for interfacing with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing and customers both verbal and written.
* OEM Launch Support and Problem Resolution and Tracking

Education Requirements Bachelors Degree in Engineering required
