I believe the I already meet many of the expectations asked of the new community manager and would be fitting for the role. I also believe I am fully capable of successfully completing the plan set forth by the current community team as well as going above and beyond to help the community in anyway I can. In this post I will discuss the following: how I meet the requirements, how I will complete the plans set forth and why believe I am one of the best candidates for the role.

How I meet the expectations.

Throughout 2017 I will have the time to set aside to fulfil the role of community manager fully. I will put in the maximum amount of work I can to ensure that every task gets complete to the very best of my ability and that very decision that needs making by the community team complete.

I am the on teamspeak and servers every single day and I am highly motivated when it comes completing my responsibilities within the community.

I rarely miss a meeting I always manage to make time to attend if I do miss a meeting it usually for good reason. If I was CM I would put more effort into ensuring that I could attend every meeting possible as well as host as many meeting people need me to.

I would make sure that I am free for community team meeting even in the event I couldn't access my main PC I would make sure that I would be able to get to the community team via other means such as my laptop or phone but I would always ensure that I could make it to the meeting.

I am an extremely trusted member of the community. I am currently owner of TTT and Bhop which shows the community team trusted me with some of the highest powers within the community. You can depend on me to complete any task or show up to any meeting that is required of me.

I have already been in many situations that could be considered community emergency where I have prioritized what I was doing to help the community and help get the problems solved. In every situation I have stayed until the problem was solved and worked as hard as I could up until this point.

I am always available throughout the day whether it be on Skype, whats-app or steam. You can always get hold of me through one of these means of communication if I am needed.

Delegating tasks and prioritising situations is already something I have do on a daily bases when it comes to managing the TTT and Bhop and servers it is a skill a picked up along the way.

I always make sure I communicate and issues I come across and make sure it is brought to the attention of the people who need to know about the issue. E.G There is a major bug on SSRP I would then inform a community owner or community manager.

I prepared to disagree with the CM Team and attempt to get the majority on my side. If I am unable to do this then I will simply respect their vote and move on. As even though I may not have agreed with the outcome I respect that the other members of the team believe that is the correct decision to make.

Criticizing other members of the community is something I am most certainly capable but haven't really put into practice before but if I was to get CM I would make sure that if another CM Team member made a mistake I would let them know and give them criticism.

I have no problem with updating the community team at any time about work I have been doing and I would be more than happy to know the progress of the work being put in by the community team. I already update member of the CM Team of the work I have been doing for the servers.

How I will complete the plan set forth by the CM Team.

I will look into all ZARP processes and structures and evaluate what works well and what about them can be changed to so that they better fit the purpose. I will also ensure that I listen to the community and see what they think should be changed because after all it is the voice of the community that matters the most. After hearing what opinions of community members and completing my own evaluation I will report back to the rest of the community team with my finding on the matter.

One thing I would like to achieve in 2017 is not only to evaluate the current process and structures but to ensure we have a structure for most things in the community my reasoning for this is that it will stop things from going wrong and give everybody equality when it comes down to every decision. This is much better than having no a structure that could results that are unfair and unintentionally biased out come.

Something I would also like to achieve in 2017 is bigger and better events for pointshop servers. As you may have already seen since I, Tyler and Captin became the owners of TTT we released content updates like SSRP for special events I would like to extend this to all pointshop servers. Special events could range from custom in-game items, steam game giveaways and limited time decoration. I believe this will benefit the community as a whole as people who play deathrun, surf and bhop will get to experience special events.

One of my biggest plans for 2017 is to ensure that community is a fun place for staff and players alike as after all ZARP is a gaming community and why do people play games? My answer would be to have fun. It is no good if players and staff arent enjoying themselves so I will put in maximum effort to ensure that as many people as possible see the community as a fun and safe place to play games and talk to friends.

One of the things the current community have asked of the new community managers is to have written publications on newly formed process and structures I think this is a great idea as it keeps the entire community in the loop of what's going I believe an important role of CM is to build a bridge between the community and community team so everybody is clear on both important and minor changes in the community. This can be done through frequent forum announcements regarding changes that will affect community members.

Why me above the rest?

I am a positive, dedicated and helpful member of the community and I believe I am the best candidate for the role as I in my time at ZARP gaming I have been trusted and gained many positions that I have used to the best of my ability to benefit the community in the best way possible. Dure in my ownership of TTT I with the help from us turned the server from being one of least successful in the community to one of the most successful in the community I am not going to take all the credit for that as it required a lot of teamwork and alot of ideas for the server from a range of different people. I believe that if I was a community manager I could really benefit the community. I believe with my experience I would be able to advise new server owners on what they can do. I would also be able to ensure that the most important tasks get done as I have done in the past when undertaking over projects. I have been in the SSRP lead team for over a year and in this time I have learnt a great amount about the community and how it works and I now feel that I am ready to undertake the role of community manager.

The reason I joined the ZARP community is when I firsted started playing TTT at the end of 2014 I just thought it was cool server so I gave it a shot and applied for staff. After being on staff on TTT for a few months I began to play ZARP SSRP I just thought it was such a cool and unique server and like I did on TTT I applied for staff I climbed the ranks and I made it to super admin a few months after this I became the owner of TTT and forum global moderator. Following that I became SSRP Head Admin and Bhop Owner. As well as TeamSpeak Head Admin.

I want to join the community team as I feel with the experience I have already gained from roles in this community I am now have the ability to help the community at the highest leve. I already do a huge amount to help the community and getting the role of CM will allow me to further help the community and achieved the goals I previously outlined,

Working with the rest of the community team I would ensure that newly planned items such as the organisation system is something that will work for the entire team and for new members of the team in the future.

I also believe said organization system is a great idea and will great improve the workflow and productivity of the community team.

One of the most important aspects to have to become a community manager is the ability to work in a team and take leadership. I believe I am more the capable of both of these. I love to work in a team and love to hear everybody's opinion on a matter. I am very easy to get along with and can work with almost anybody which is important as it wont just be the community team that I will have to work with it could be anybody in the community so this is an important aspect to have.

I don't claim to be perfect and I believe there is still alot I can learn but the best way to learn is through experience and I believe I can learn a lot through becoming community manager I quickly gained the knowledge and experience of how to manager servers at ZARP and I learnt it from experience. If I make a genuine mistake I will hold my hand up and claim responsibility. I don't plan to make any mistakes but as the saying goes mistakes and there is not a lot we can do about it.

I will not use the role of community manager to benefit myself in anyway just benefit the community. I want to be able to give the community a voice and keep them up to date with all changes in the community rather than things just being word of mouth I want to ensure that changes to the community are seen by all members and are easier to find.

I have already helped the community out in many ways here are some of the following ways I have already helped the community:

Finding major bugs on the servers and assisting in fixing them.

Helping users out with a range of issues across the board.

Creating the deathrun spectator mode when they needed someone to do it.

Creating the bhop gamemode when we were in need of a new gamemode.

Adapting the bhop gamemode for surf so Luan could launch the server.

Constantly updating the TTT and Bhop servers and ensuring that everything is running smoothly.

Always attending the lead team meeting where I strongly voice my opinion on matters.

Helping staff out in any way I possibly can.

Resolving issues amongst staff members.

Ensuring that anyone who comes to me with a question gets an answer.

The listed of things above are just some of the things I have done to help the community in my time. I am always there if I am staff on the server or not to lend a helping hand I believe if I became CM it would enable me to help in a much bigger way. than I already do.

As a final message I believe that if you was to vote me for CM you would not regret as I am an extremely hard working individual that does not what disappoint. I will ensure that everything gets done as fast as possible and that the community is running smoothly on a day to day basis. I would try to resolve any issues that arise in the community and always hear the opinions of everyone and take them in consideration. I will always make sure everything is complete to the very best of my ability and the plans for 2017 get seen through and completed.

Thanks for reading my application. All feedback is very much appreciated and I will respond to any questions you have about my candidacy below. This application is also subject to change in the event that I do change it I will post on this thread what I have changed.
