Newly elected opposition UPND Katuba Member of Parliament Jonas Shakafuswa has been ordered to leave the House.
Speaker Dr. Patrick Matibini ordered Shakafuswa to leave the House around 5:30 pm Zambian time for allegedly passing running commentaries when MMD Mumbwa MP was on the floor during the debate of the motion urging government to immediate set-up a roadmap for the enactment of a new constitution.
“Hon Shakafuswa, you leave the House, we shall see you in June,” Speaker Matibini ordered.
The Speaker also warned MPs to avoid passing running commentaries saying they are detracting the debate. He said he will not allow MPs not on the floor to pass running commentaries.
