Epilogue
After I got my own space, I was struggling to find some furniture for a fixed space where is one of typical types ‘officetel’ with built-in system. At the beginning, I was planed to design furniture and order for proper materials, but realized the time value and cost was not efficient compare to off-the–shelf furniture.
IKEA opened the first warehouse last year in South Korea, the cost and design is already very familiar to me even I knew the quality, I could not deny its varieties and economical benefit. 4 bookshelves and corner closet were assembled in 2 days. After my books displayed, some part of shelves were slightly bent by the weight, it was just OK for the price, but no more.
I tried to find storages on the Internet for specific spaces and stuffs; two types of printers, classic audio system, and gave up. The time consuming for searching, quality and price, I decide to design and make furniture as same as my first plan.
As a designer, a maker, a user this time was to design more concentrating for the real use and making process, less showing and expressiveness.
Thinking about design and return to the basic.
