One of my favourite shows of the week would have to be Michael Lo Sordo's SS14/15 collection. With angular abstract structures positioned on the runway it set the tone for an impactful showcase. A double breasted pinstripe shirt dress opened the show, belted at the waist with a plunging neckline and crotch-high split. Hair was combed back into a quiff, though blow-dried to create more of a 'bed hair' finish. Lo Sordo's range of gelati, pastel ensembles were beautifully tailored though styled in a relaxed approach, where jacket sleeves were pushed up to the elbow, tied around the waist, belted or loosely sitting on the model's shoulders. Triangle bralettes introduced a dose of femininity, either in matching hues or shiny patent leathers. Shiny, snakeprint pieces were also featured offering a contrast against the pinstripe numbers. All in all, this collection by Michael Lo Sordo was a mix of masucline meets feminine and in my opinion, it conjured up an image of a woman whom climbed out of bed, wrapped herself in bed sheets, went to a few casual meetings then treated herself to cocktail in the hotel lounge.
