One of my favourite things to do (apart from surfing Soundcloud and drinking an Amaretto Sour) is trawling op shops in the hope to find 'that' hidden gem. I've come across many unique pieces at bargain prices, but nothing has compared to the ridiculous $6 price point of this denim overall dress. Hidden in the mens section, this denim delight was no doubt a pleasant find, especially when it still had it's original tag attached. Yep, a brand new denim overall dress for $6! A Maccas value meal costs more! Crazy! Sure beats paying $50-70 at Asos or Topshop! I'm all for splurging on quality basics, but it doesn't hurt to be thrifty with 'on-trend' items. I wore this ensemble during the final day of MBFWA back in April. Delayed I know, however with the whole 'overall/pinafore' trend still in full swing, especially with the string of music festivals happening I deemed it appropriate to share. This has got to be one of my favourite outfits. Comfy boots, favourite accessories, band/artist shirt and my statement Martine Rose bomber.

Speaking of music... this week I was lucky to see HAIM perform live at the Hi-fi and it was truly something spectacular. After obsessing over them for over a year, and playing their track 'Forever' on repeat it felt amazing to completely let loose and immerse myself in their music. It was great to see all three sisters give it all they got and getting a glimpse of their mum beaming side stage. To share a passion with your siblings is another of level of special, it was also touching to hear lead vocalist Danielle say she was about to cry a few times during the set. Aussie band The Preatures was the supporting act and boy oh boy was it a match made in heaven. The chemistry between lead vocalists Isabella and Gideon was magnetic, I couldn't keep still during 'Take A Card' and 'Is this how you feel?' All in all, both epic sets. Tomorrow I will be seeing Sydney-sider Oliver Tank and the breath-taking James Blake perform live at the Sydney Opera House. Gonna be something special.

Keep an eye out on my Instagram for updates!

For now, I'll leave you with my track of the week, 'Close to me' by San Fran beat genius Giraffage, who's coming to Sydney next month!! Ahhh!! This is definitely me year of music!
