After over 3 years work with the Wolverton community, the Wolverton Town Centre Neighbourhood Plan is to be put to public referendum by Milton Keynes Council on Thursday 30th July 2015.

Voters throughout the Parish of Wolverton & Greenleys will soon receive their poll cards, and will get the opportunity to vote yes or no for the Plan which is designed to kick-start the regeneration of Wolverton Town centre.

Simon Bennett from Future Wolverton explains:

“The Neighbourhood Plan for Wolverton Town Centre has seven policies which are designed to ensure appropriate redevelopment of the Agora and Railway Works site, support small, independent trade and conserve historic shopfronts in the town.

We are keen for people to understand as much as possible about the Plan before they vote on the 30th July, and have produced a short film which can be viewed via the Future Wolverton website and Facebook pages.”

The film can be found at http://bit.ly/1BAT0zn

Future Wolverton are running an official VOTE YES Campaign and will be delivering information door-to-door throughout the Parish in the next few weeks.

Information about the referendum can also be found on Milton Keynes Council’s website at www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/planning-and-building/planning-policy/wolverton-neighbourhood-plan
