A police officer was arrested on charges of rape after he was allegedly caught having sex with a young girl inside a kiosk, police in Nigeria said.
Kano Police said that they have arrested Sani Salisu for allegedly raping the 7-year-old girl in full view of the public on Friday.
According to the police investigation, Salisu lured the girl into the kiosk by promising her sweets before raping her. Passersby however, noticed the police officer’s actions and detained him until police arrived.
In December, a police officer was arrested for raping a woman while he was dressed in his uniform. The veteran police officer of Texas, has been arrested for sexual assault.
Dallas police officer David Kattner, 44, who has worked for the department for 26 years, was arrested on Sunday, and charged with felony sexual assault.
An officer on patrol spotted the woman, who is a known prostitute, engage in suspicious behavior with Officer Kattner.
The prostitute was questioned, and she told police that Officer Kattner ordered her to meet him at this location to talk about outstanding warrants.
After the two met, the officer allegedly forced the woman to perform sex acts on him. The woman told police that Kattner threatened harm to her daughter if she did not comply with his demands.
