Nowadays, there is a great occurrence of eye issues thanks to the air pollution and the harmful radiation coming from the electronic devices like tablets, laptops, and smartphones. Fortunately there is an easy way to solve these issues, and that is honey.

Honey contains potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that can efficiently deal with cataract, conjunctivitis, dry eyes, pink eye, and other existing eye issues.

USE OF HONEY FOR EYE CONCERNS

Cataract – it is a condition that triggers progressive cloudiness of the eye lens which can cause blurriness as a result of excess protein buildup in the lens.

Smokers and persons exposed to excess pollution are more susceptible to the threat of cataract. You can try to treat it naturally by using the following solution.

First boil some water and let it cool down. Then, mix 1 part of honey with 3 parts of the water. Next, put 1 to 2 drops of the solution into your eyes, for best results repeat this 3 to 4 times a day.

Conjunctivitis – occurs due to allergies, infections, or by a physical agent like UV or infrared light. The common features of this condition are: redness, swollen eyelids, discomfort, and watery discharge from the eyes.

You can treat it quickly by mixing 30% of honey and 70% of pure water.

Use: apply 3 drops of the mixture in your eyes two times a day.

Corneal inflammation – or otherwise medically known as keratitis. This eye concern can be triggered by occurrence of infections, dry eyes, eyelid conditions or physical injuries to the eye. You must treat this inflammation on time as it can severely damage your eye.

In order to treat it properly, make a mixture of 30% of honey with 70% of vitamin drops.

Use: apply 1 to 2 drops of the mixture below your eyelids each day for 10 days and the inflammation will be lowered. If you experience a tingling feeling, it should not worry you a bit as it will disappear quickly.
