Robert Downey Jr. is teaming up with True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto for a new TV drama.
The Iron Man star will star in the as-yet-untitled show with a script written by Pizzolatto for HBO, which was also home to True Detective.

Details of the project are being kept under wraps, but sources tell The Hollywood Reporter the drama may be based on the actor’s long-gestating reboot of beloved legal series Perry Mason.
Downey will also executive produce the show with his wife Susan, under their Team Downey company.
If HBO executives pick up the program to series, it will mark Downey’s return to the small screen following his Golden Globe-winning role on hit legal drama Ally McBeal 16 years ago.
