Actor Orlando Bloom is finally letting fans into his private photo collection after going public with his Instagram account.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star created his profile over a year ago, but he has kept his posts available only to users he personally approves.

However, on Thursday, he delighted fans by allowing all users to follow him, and posted a photo of a handwritten note which simply reads, “I caved”.

The move delighted many of his devotees, including his ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr, who commented on his first public post by writing, “Nice one!”

Among the snaps in his photo archive are sweet shots of Flynn, his five-year-old son, with Kerr. In one picture the actor is playfully holding him by his legs on a beach, while another features Flynn laying across a park bench.

“‘Afternoon son’ see what I did there,” Boom wrote as a caption.

The star also revealed personal photos of his various adventures with girlfriend Katy Perry, including their recent trip to the Burning Man festival in Nevada earlier this month.

A short clip features a masked Bloom riding a Segway in the desert with the “I Kissed a Girl” pop star not far behind.

Other posts feature snaps from vacations in Utah, Italy and France, as well as various charity missions in the Ukraine and Serbia, where he met with refugee families fleeing war and hardship in their home countries.

The visits were part of Bloom’s duties as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, a position he has held since 2009.
