Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch was the site of Metrocrest Services’ 2015 Tee Up for Metrocrest fundraiser on May 18th. One hundred eighty-three golfers participated and fifty-seven area businesses and individuals served as sponsors of the annual event.

“Fortunately, the Texas weather cooperated with us,” explained CEO Tracy Eubanks. “The players enjoyed a rain-free day on the course to benefit area families. It was a generous show of support for those coping with economic instability and even hunger.”

The event generated $60,000 for programs provided by the nonprofit Metrocrest Services to families and seniors. In addition, members of the Addison Midday Rotary Club were on site and presented a donation in the amount of $10,000. “Our members voted to support Metrocrest Services,” explained Darci Neuzil, President of Addison Midday Rotary Club, “because they help so many in our community.”

Aid programs range from rent and utility bill assistance, food distributions, employment help, school shoes and supplies, and programs specific to seniors including transportation and home-delivered meals.

“Last year we helped 17,772 individuals,” added Eubanks, “but only strong, dedicated supporters throughout the community can help us meet the level of need we’re currently experiencing.”
