2014-11-14

This is fall? Whooooo doggie. It’s still crazy cold in Boulder and if the weather experts are right, that’s not going to change much over the weekend. I say, all more reason to get out there and take full advantage of First Bite Boulder.  This is the annual event highlighting Boulder’s dining scene. Here’s how it works: For one full week beginning Friday, November 14th, more than 50 of Boulder’s top restaurants will offer a special three course $27 prix fixe dinner menu to the community. If you happen to be in a restaurant rut and find yourself hanging out in all the same places, this is a great opportunity to try out a few new places.

In between the feasting, you can do a good deed, gain some karma points and get some holiday shopping done all at the same time by heading over to one of the many fundraisers happening this weekend. There’s the 1st Annual Boulder County Farmers’ Market Fundraiser, Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center’s 20th Anniversary Gala,  Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture Annual Fundraising Gala, ARTSJAM and an Arts and Craft fair hosted by local independent artists on Friday, November 14th from 6pm to 9pm at OZO Coffee on Arapahoe. All items are handmade with love and the artists will all be donating partial proceeds to both EFAA and the Boulder Humane Society.

Bundle up, get out there and enjoy Boulder!
