Happy weekend! The theme of this weekend is the Arts. Boulder Arts Week has begun, and there are plenty of opportunities to get in on the celebration happening all around town. It’s an almost exhausting list that you can check out right here.

Speaking of art, have you ever stopped to admire the banners on the lamp poles along the Pearl Street Mall? Did you know they were created by students right here in Boulder County? This week is your chance to send some appreciation for your favorite. Voting is now open for the 2015 Student Banner Project. Simply stroll down Pearl Street Mall during Boulder Arts Week or check them out online and cast your vote for your favorite.

While you’re out and about enjoying the Arts, you’ll likely encounter some lights out on Saturday evening. This is because Saturday marks the 9th Annual Earth Hour worldwide event designed to raise awareness about climate change. The St Julien is participating by offering a lights-out candlelit dinner experience at Jill’s Restaurant from 8:30 to close. There will also be a candlelit evening in T-Zero Lounge, featuring Happy Hour specials and The Green Martini from 4 pm. to close. Candles will also line the darkened lobby during a live performance by Moors and McCumber, a high energy mountain acoustic musical experience.

Get out there and enjoy Boulder!
