Celebrities are being audited left and right these days. So it is no surprise that Mathew Knowles would be in that fold. Knowles, the father to Beyoncé and Solange, is reported to owe more than   $1.2 million in taxes for the years 2010 and 2011. The IRS wants $485,575.95 for 2010 and $78,004.89 for 2011. This is all according to TMZ. During those years, Knowles was managing his daughter, Beyoncé, and was heading up his own record label. Knowles founded Music World Entertainment in 1992. The conglomerate went on to become one of the world’s leaders in entertainment, with over 300 million record sales, worldwide. Under MWE, Knowles established several smaller entities which included Music World Music, Music World Gospel, Music World Kids, and Music World Country/Compadre. Successful artists from MWE, of course, included, Beyoncé, Solange, Sunshine Anderson,   and gospel sensation Trin-i-tee 5:7.   A true business man, Knowles also established several ventures outside of his company with ESSENCE Communications, Nintendo, Pepsico, Verizon, L’Oreal, American Express, and Soft Sheen-Carson, to name a few. Knowles also launched a family oriented entity called, Music World Kids. The label included the release of youth projects like Baby Jamz, Krazy Kuzins, Kid’s Rap Radio, Music World Kids CD 5-pac, and music for Nickelodeon’s Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Cartoon series. Knowles has had many problems in his past, which may have led to the brief estrangement between he and Beyoncé, back in 2009. At that time Knowles was allegedly having an affair with one Alexsandra Wright whom he now has a son with. His affair allegedly caused the breakup of his 31 year marriage to Tina Knowles. In January, it was reported that Knowles had threatened Wright via email. He currently pays Wright $12,000 a month for their child.
