Penn State York students showed their pride during the “Blue, White, and Wow Fashion Show” last year at the Women’s Show.
Free tickets to the 16th Women’s Show are now available to Penn State York students, faculty, and staff. Tickets are available on campus in the student affairs office, admissions offices, the box office in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center), the Lion’s Den Café, and The Bistro.
The Women’s Show, Oct. 5 and 6 in Memorial Hall at the York Expo Center, features two days of exhibits, seminars, entertainment, demonstrations, and shopping sponsored by 98.5 The Peak and a variety of other businesses. Keynote speaker is Barbara Barr, reporter from WGAL News 8, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.
A portion of the proceeds from the show benefits P.I.N.K. Partners, a breast cancer awareness group whose mission is to create an environment in which each individual can find avenues for facing the extreme lifelong challenges with which they have been presented.
Penn State York is among a number of sponsors of the Women’s Show and is offering a blue and white motif for the Lion’s Den Café, one of the food areas at the event. In addition, students from the campus will be doing a fashion show, “Blue, White, and WOW – Penn State Fashions,” featuring items that can be purchased in the Penn State York Bookstore. Students will take the runway on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. on the Wilmington Trust Stage in Memorial Hall.
The Women’s Show hours are Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $4 for the general public and may be purchased at the door.
