Happy 2015!!!

As the rest of you ushered in the new year, so did I.. Except that 1/1/15 marked the day I entered into a lifetime union with my man YZ, and we were officially wedded together as husband and wife! :') The past three weeks were crazy, and I was really busy with the last stretch of wedding prep leading up to the big day!

It was an absolutely amazing day and I had the best time of my life! Before I get the official images from my photographer Ron of Eyedeas Photography for a proper blog post, here's random photos and snippets from the entire wedding day documented on my Dayre. It's a really lengthy post so be prepared for a long read!

And I thought I'd first share the entire set of images from my Korean pre-wedding shoot with K-Wedding online, as well as the final products we received, a framed 20R image and a gorgeous leather album with our selected images. Along with the pre-wedding photoshoot, we also engaged the services of iStudio Video Productions to capture the behind-the-scenes, which were put together into a pre-wedding video that was screened during the wedding banquet. There's a couple of video snippets on my Instagram already, and I know lots of people are very excited to see the full videos!

I'm waiting to get the HD videos from our videographer as well, which I'll share real soon! Both the pre-wedding video and the actual day highlights! I'll also share more in another blog post about our experience during our pre-wed shoot in Korea. Which was super super fun!!! I do actually kind of miss all the pre-wedding stuff and actual day happenings, now that it's over.

Why did we choose K-Wedding?

K-Wedding was actually introduced to us by our friend Celine (who also generously sponsored The Mr & Mrs dessert bar for #YzYinaWed!) We were already considering an overseas photoshoot, but didn't know that there was such a company in Singapore offering Korean pre-wedding services.

What K-Wedding does is to connect the couple with the best wedding agencies in Korea, allowing us to experience the entire Korean-style pre-wedding experience in its full authenticity! Even if you can't speak a word of Korean, it totally doesn't matter because K-Wedding can provide you with a guide/translator.

Both of us loved the dreamy, romantic Korean photoshoots that K-Wedding showed us, and we were sold! Price-point wise, the packages that K-Wedding offers are also very reasonable (depending on which studios you pick), about the same amount you'd pay with a pre-wedding bridal package in Taiwan.

We had a really good experience with K-Wedding during our photoshoot in Korea, and the post-shoot servicing was just as amazing, Edmund and Nicole (the founders of K-Wedding) are just so nice and easy to work with! YZ and I are really pleased with our beautiful images as well as this pretty pretty 20R framed shot that's now displayed in our bedroom.

The album itself looks absolutely classy and expensive, in a leather book finishing and embossed text. So pretty!

I love the matte finish of the pages, and the printing is very high quality too!

We even got the high-resolution final images given back to us in a nice thumbdrive! What a nice touch.

And below are a selection of the actual images that were returned to me! 20 images were chosen and edited by the photography studio, and I also included a few other shots that I edited a little myself. Picked my favourite images to showcase in this entry, so read on below!

5 Reasons why you should go to Korea for your pre-wedding photoshoot

1. The weather is FANTASTIC.

Be it an indoor or outdoor shoot, pick the right times to go to Korea (Autumn/Spring is perfect) for your pre-wedding shoot and you'd be assured of only the best photoshoot experience. No hot, humid, sweaty weather to endure, your makeup won't run, and your hair won't get limp and oily. Trust me, the weather really makes a difference!

2. K-pop and K-beauty trends are the way to go

Even if you're not an aficionado of K-drama and/or Song Cheon Yi, you can't deny that Korean pop culture is taking over the world, everyone wants to look like a Korean and be the star of their very own K-drama. So here's your once-in-a-lifetime chance to do exactly that! You don't just get photographed by a Korean photographer, your hair and makeup will be done up in true blue Korean style, and you might even run into your favourite A-lister at one of the top makeup studios that K-Wedding works with. #truestory

3. It's super value-for-money

From what I know, most local (Singaporean) and even Taiwanese bridal houses offer packages with a limited amount of photos. For our Korean shoot, we got back all 700 over high-res images in soft copy which I thought was super awesome! I've heard of bridal studios in Singapore and Taiwan where you have to top up an abysmal amount of money just to pick more frames, and I'm glad that with K-Wedding, there's no such issue cos every single frame is returned to you. For the same kind of prices compared to an overseas photoshoot in Taiwan, (around SGD3-5K depending), at least I'm getting maximum value out of it.

4. You can go for a pre-wedding honeymoon at the same time

The photoshoot itself only takes about one and a half days, that's half a day for gown fitting, and another full day for the photoshoot. And Seoul is super duper fun, with lots to eat/drink/shop/play! Take this opportunity to holiday with your partner at the same time, and it'll be the best holiday of your life. Plus, you can kill two birds (holiday x pre-wedding shoot) with one stone! Win-win situation.

5. The end result will be the most beautiful images you will ever take in your life

Nuff' said. Just look at the dreamy, romantic photos, the beautiful lighting, the gorgeous gorgeous settings, all so perfect. I don't think I will ever look this good, ever again.

Can't gush enough over all the beautiful images, and I'm really thankful to have chosen K-Wedding for our pre-wed photoshoot! I'll be writing more about the experience and behind-the-scenes soon, for those who are considering K-Wedding for their pre-wed shoot :)
